When we arrived, Mimi had planned a "Sip and See" for all of our friends to come and meet Hadley and sip on some Proseco Champagne or snack on some yummy southern treats. Later that night we went out to The Triangle Bar with Uncle John and our best friends, Caroline and Trenton! I had the best Firefly Vodka Mojito and will definitely be making those in California. Saturday we had Hadley's private baptism at St. Andrews Episcopal (the church I grew up in) and a wonderful lunch at High Cotten in downtown Charleston. Mommy got her favorite fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits! Sunday, the highlight of our trip, Hadley went swimming for the first time! So much fun and boy was she tired after! That night we had a relaxing dinner with our favorite Charleston friends, Sutton and Colt! Monday mommy and daddy had a date night and went to The Macintosh restaurant, Charleston Haunted Jail Ghost Tour (not scary at all) and out for frozen yogurt! We got to try a lot of new restaurants, The Macintosh, Rutledge Cab Company, The Triangle Bar, Taco Boy and Kaminsky's (again). Oh so yummy!
Our amazing trip ended with a horrible boom as our flights were delayed, rebooked for the next day, sitting for over 2 hours on the runway in Charleston, running with a baby through the Atlanta airport, and not being allowed on our original flight that had 5 empty seats. With thanks to many Delta employees we got back home safely. Things I learned about traveling with a infant, yes, you can pump in the middle of the terminal and inflight (yes, on the plane), descending is worse on their ears than anything else, and their are changing tables in the bathrooms on planes. Overall, a very good experience but a nightmare yesterday! Enjoy the pictures!
Pit: Hadley getting off her routine and my milk supply decreasing
Peak: Baptism, seeing all my friends, and Southern-izing my girl :)
