Not only was yesterday the 4th of July but it also was our sweet Georgia Bea's 6th birthday. Of course Mason went out to the store and bought her more toys, if we didn't have enough already. We went over to Uncle Richard and Megan's house, went swimming in the pool and grilled out. We tried to get Georgia in the pool…again…but she wasn't having it, surprise surprise. Hadley was the star of the show with her red and white polka dot swim diaper (honest.com) and adorable Lilly Pulitzer bathing suit! Tia Joann had some festive headbands and beads which Georgia and Hadley both enjoyed.
Unfortunately Georgia's birthday didn't end as well as she hoped. We tell her every year that people are celebrating her birthday with fireworks but she chooses to think of the explosions differently. This years fireworks caused a much different reaction we have ever seen from her. She was trying to climb onto the tables, TV stand and couch, digging the carpet, as if she wanted to hide, and peed on the floor. We had previously called the vet on Wednesday for some high dose sedation meds to help with the anxiety since benadryl doesn't seem to work. She spent the night sleeping in her crate in a panic and woke up this morning very drunk looking and stumbling. Sadly, I don't think the fireworks ended last night and we may be dealing with this through the weekend.
I didn't get a picture of Hadley in her red, white and blue outfit so maybe ill try this weekend...since she is 5 months old now!!! Enjoy the photos.
