Warning! Picture overload, this may be the most pictures I've posted...ever.
The Ybarra family tradition continues!
This vacation could not have come at a better time since we had a bomb dropped on us earlier this month. Mason had a pediatric nursing conference at Disneyland this past week. Not only was the location perfect, but we got a conference room rate at the Disneyland Resort Hotel and discounted tickets to the park! Whoop whoop!!
We decided to take our time with the parks and got a 4 day park hopper so we could spend time in the morning at the park and the afternoon at the pool, which was a great idea because the crowds at the park are outrageous. The early magic morning pass to get in early was fabulous because we got almost all the rides and character greetings in before the regular park even opened. Because momma is not waiting in a line that long to see Anna and Elsa. Two days at California Adventure and two days at Disneyland were plenty.
Today, before we left, we walked to Starbucks for breakfast and I think H sadly thought she was going back to the park, because she sat so calmly in the stroller and was asking for Mickey Mouse. Poor girl, separation is still a hard concept for her to understand. But she got enough loot from the park to keep her happy over the many months to come before her daddy decides to go back.
Olaf is still one of her favorites, close behind Tow Mater and Rapunzle, so because of this she tried to take his nose from him...just like Sven did in the movie. She just giggled and giggled with him, which was adorable to see her excitement. She loved Olaf so much we had to go back and see him twice.
Oh Tow Mater, she just loves the funny characters from the Disney movies. These cars talk, dance and rev their engines, which Hadley kept saying "Tow May-Wah talking." And then giggling like crazy. She also got beyond excited when she saw him in the Pixar parade. How many times did we go back and see Mater and Lightening McQueen? Probably 7 times. Yep, she just couldn't contain herself.
She also loved the Challenge Trail at California Adventure, which had slides, caves, tunnels and rope bridges. Mommy and Daddy liked it because it was quiet and rather mellow, compared to other areas of the park.
Oh jeez, the CHURRO. Tina gave us money to buy H a churro, needless to say she got one ev.er.y.day. Mason swears that these churros are the best ever, to me, it's just a cinnamon sugar covered donut. H loved these thing, but then again what child wouldn't love a sugary treat. But what can I say, it's an Ybarra tradition.
The fireworks, Fantasmic and World of Color were waaaaay beyond her bed time, so we decided to stay till after sun set to watch the neon lights turn on at Cars Land. Before this we had a dance party with DJ, another one of the cars from the movie, which was adorable to watch H with all the other little kids dance. She is so independent and got out there and danced with the kids all by herself. We definitely paid for this late night the next day at Disneyland because she was in a fool mood that next morning.
Ohhhh, the pouty face. Why the lip? She had to wait in a very short line for Dumbo and she wanted a "pink one." It was so sad for her, yet so funny for me so I had to take a picture.
If you take a peek at the characters you will notice that the true characters she loooooved, smiled, giggled and ran straight to them. But as you will see below and in other photos, she was absolutely star struck with the princesses because they had a "face." She still did much better this year, she took their hand, checked out their dresses and stared at their face, but she would.not.smile.for.nothing. She loved the princesses so much also that we had to go see them twice also.
When we went to see the princesses in the Royal Hall, I would ask her "Who do you think is next?" She would respond with "Punzle" and then would get disappointed when it was Cinderella or Snow White. Poor Disney Princess girls, I'm sorry my child was disappointed it was you in your yellow or blue dress, but she really only wanted to see "Punzle." We found her though, although H's excitement is hard to see in her face.
Disney Parade and ice cream with "Elsa spink-les." Don't ask where her shoes are...it was a daily battle, more like hourly battle.
Breakfast on the go, every morning, almost every meal.
Annnnd again, same car, different outfit, different visit. This makes like the 6th visit to see the cars. Thank goodness the line was never long at all.
Disneyland Hotel was definitely more quiet, had more land/grass areas, a good pool and close to downtown Disney. It was a short 7 minute walk into the park and the pool was amazing. Not only that, but it was HEATED! The weather was warm when we were there but the pool was just fabulous set at like 80 degrees. Not only that but the tiny little fountains coming out slide area kept her entertained forever and I didnt have to get in the water!! Score!
Oh the Frozen sing along! She loved singing "Love is an Open Doooooooor." And the snow coming out of the ceiling at the end was super fun and a great surprise. Not only that but the "hosts" of the show were hilarious for adults.
Come on now...who doesn't have a picture of themselves in front of the in-famous Disney Mickey Mouse flowers out front? Mason has the same picture and I have the same. Different location but I swear the flowers are exactly the same no matter if it was the 80s, 90s or 2015.
She loved the Tea Cups, thank goodness a pink cup was open otherwise we would have had a two-year-old tantrum in the middle of this adorable ride. Thank you Mimi for the adorable Anna/Elsa appliqué shirt from Etsy.
This was the sweetest moment, Mickey Mouse came right up to her stroller when Toon Town opened, reached his hand out for Hadley and walked her and another little girl to his house to be the first two in line for photos. She was just smitten and didn't even look back for her mommy. I don't know if I should be proud of her confidence or sad that she didn't care where I was?!
Something about their noses that she always goes for. Between taking Olaf's nose, Pluto's nose and both Mickey and Minnie, she's going to keep a nose collection.
Well until next year...we will be back Disney, we will be back. Probably within the next 11 months before H turns 3 so we don't have to buy her a ticket to the park, because those things aren't cheap. Come on Stanford Children's Hospital, send my husband to a conference in Orlando. Hope y'all enjoyed the pictures, I did narrow them down, I took 121 photos total!!
