Bye Bye Pregnancy

Whelp....we've almost made it 40 weeks.  A rough and challenging 40 weeks but hey, God wouldn't have given us this challenge if he didn't think we could make it!  As many people know 2015 was a very tough year as we found out about our fertility challenges early in the year, but it's amazing how much difference ONE year can make!  We are about to bring baby girl into this world and make our family a little bit busier, happier and more girly!

This pregnancy was interesting from the get go as we did IUI, had a trip to the emergency room, ruptured cysts, progesterone problems, then 6 months-ish of normalcy, and then the third trimester brought on it's own host of issues.  I had so.much.pain with symphsis pubis joint pain essentially making it very painful to walk, sleep, roll over in bed, put on my pants, all the things that came so easy with my pregnancy with Hadley.  It's strange I never had that pain with Hadley and I have so much more respect to women who have this issue because it's no joke.  Mason and Hadley think it's funny when I waddle trying to get off the couch as Hadley says "Mommy waddles like a penguin."

Below are some photos of my pregnancy progression, which I am forever grateful for these photos as they will be the last of our pregnancy journey and was such a challenge to get here.  We've had some changes in the past couple of days, but little Sloane is deciding to stay put just a little bit longer allowing us a few more days with our one and only Hadley.

Ha!  Some of you know this, but little Sloane's "room" is in our walk in closet!  Yep, when you live in the Bay Area it doesn't leave you with many options for separate rooms for each kid!  As much as I wanted to decorate another nursery, that time will come when we get a house where each girl can have their own room.  We cleaned out this closet, put down a little fuzzy gray rug, hung a monitor and have storage for her "things" above on the shelves.  It's cozy and Hadley loves going to play in Sloane's room.

My sweet co-workers threw me a "not shower" at work because I told them I didn't need another baby shower since I just had a baby girl 3 years ago and the holidays make things even more challenging.  Kirsten surprised me with Chick-fil-a, monogramed cups, mason jar and burlap vase full of beautiful flowers and Sprinkles cupcakes.  Does she know me or what?!?!

The last few photos of us before this photo has two girls!  Of course her penguins had to join in the fun!  Poor Mason hates the last photo because it's probably the FIRST photo he has looked "bad" in as he has been fighting very bad eye infection for the past 7 days.

Next time I get around to posting, there will probably be photos of a little squishy baby girl and hopefully a happy Hadley.  We will see what her reaction will be!!!
