Touch-a-Truck 2014

Thank goodness to wonderful Bay Area emails, apps and Facebook groups that inform us of all the happening events because we found out about Opengate Nursery School's Touch-a-Truck annual fundraiser in Redwood City.  This is the most brilliant idea for a preschool fundraiser...fill up a large parking lot with fire trucks, SWAT vans, dump trucks, police cars, school buses, food trucks and tow trucks and it's a toddlers dream!  Not only did she get to have her "passport" stamped, but she got to climb up into each truck and sometimes honk the horn.

The parents of this preschool also made a chalk race track and brought in little ride along cars for them to play.  Hadley was more interested in stealing the race track flags and playing with her construction hat.  The parents also used all kinds of cardboard boxes to make fire trucks, bicycles, space ships for all the kids to play on.  Hadley had more fun crawling through the tunnels than anything else.  Needless to say, her squealing when we pulled up and saw the trucks showed us she looooved her Saturday morning.
