We flew down to Disneyland last Saturday in our journey to Mike & Elisa's wedding in San Diego. We flew down because there is no way, ever, that this little one can sit in her car seat for longer than 30 minutes. Thank you Southwest Airlines for extra seats for Hadley there and back! I had expected that absolute worse out of Disneyland and hoped for the best. Everyone had told us how hot it would be, how long the lines are and how a 18mo would never survive the park. Wrong! The longest we waited in line was for 5 minutes for Dumbo, we saw all the princesses including Ana & Elsa from Frozen, which she was terrified of them all, Hadley LOVED any character that did not have a "face" Minnie, Pluto, Goofy etc, and she thought the rides and parade were just magical. The pool at our hotel was amazing and Hadley wanted to ride down the slide over and over and over again.
Then off we went to San Diego for the week to begin the wedding festivities. We had only planned to go to the San Diego Zoo, but people were talking about how amazing Legoland was and that they had a great water park. So off we went to Legoland and the water park and Duplo playground was surely amazing. We ran out of dry clothes because she kept finding little water features all over the park and daddy loved the Star Wars Legos!
Then...we went to the San Diego Zoo first thing in the morning when they opened. She was not as thrilled with the animals as I thought she would be, considering she sees dogs from a mile away and wants to touch them. Her favorite park was the petting zoo, which she's done so many times here in the Bay Area. She just sat herself down there with the goats while they slept and pet their little noses.
In between all this fun and theme park excitement Hadley experienced the beach for the first time, which only lasted about 5 minutes and slept in a closet, which we called her "luxury suite." Our next big fight is to Michigan where she will be a flower girl in Mary & Eric's wedding in October. Mommy needs a detox from the San Diego Airport and flight!!!
DISNEYLAND
Hadley was beyond confused why she was in the closet both in Disneyland and in San Diego. But hey...she slept great and it was super dark and quiet.
Forget the 3-5 hour wait that people wait in line to meet these 2 Princesses. We waited on 20 minutes because we went straight to see them when the park opened. Hadley rode the carousel while daddy waited in line. Our other picture of her with these 2 lovely ladies she's screaming her head off because they tried to talk to her!
This adorable appliqué Snow White shirt is from Etsy shop Little Threadz here in California. It's by the same girl who made her 4th of July shirt last weekend!
Hadley collecting all the stuffed animals from the store thinking she was going to get to take them home...nope...they all went back on the shelf!
This one is for you Tina! Every little Mexican has to taste a churro, especially from Disneyland!
LEGOLAND
She could have played at this Duplo Playground for hours, but little did she know there was a huge water feature and water park just around the corner! She's slowly learning how to go up the stairs by herself and that she needs to sit down before coming down the slide.
SAN DIEGO ZOO
The sweet little pandas were awake and eating their breakfast when we went to see them first thing in he morning. Apparently the reason San Diego Zoo is known for their panda's is because they are the only zoo to have a male and female panda that was successful with breeding. Also they "rent" these panda's from China and the US does not own any of it's panda bears, at any zoo in the country. Good little fact to know...I feel a little smarter :)
...She does not have make up on in this picture... She gets her beauty from her daddy ;)
